Arabs & Muslims Vs Global new changes.

The Power of Words Vs Muslim suspicion and sensitivity

Islam, Muslim, Islamist and other terms are now “heavily” used by the media; and are often side by side to terms like: Terrorism or Radicalism and so on.

It’s true that they are sometimes used in a way that shows too much Misunderstanding, Confusion and even some really racist intentions sometimes.
Conflicts and political competition especially the conflict in the Middle East seem to be a good channel for many to pass their –religiously absorbed- political views. And in order for every one’s views to look more credible and acceptable. There are always ways to make others “beliefs” look hard to understand, Old-fashion and useless.
Using terms mentioned above or some of them is sometimes reflecting real facts. But, it doesn’t necessarily mean that bad intentions are buried beneath them. Sometimes -if not most, they are only reflecting a sad reality. Especially as we consider the fact that most of Muslim states are located in what is called the third world.

Linking terms like Islam and radicalism and Terrorism may not reflect the reality. It even may show too much misunderstanding and lack of knowledge about both Islam and Muslims; and it also is likely to create tension and more misunderstanding as they can be hurting in some ways.
On the other hand, Muslims tend to be very sensitive about such terms, even when they are used to specifically describe a certain case. And sometimes react in the wrong way. Verbally-in the best cases; or even in actions – if some have the chance to.

*****************
My stand here is not about blaming either Muslims or those who use the sort of “specious” terms.
What I am trying to state is that most of Muslims and Arabs as well mostly in the third world need to learn to accept a systematic plan of correction; and to get disconnected with so many past accumulations that go back to the phases of imperialism. I believe also that more religious discussions should take place to help Muslims themselves understand a lot about how to deal with the changes that quickly now are happening in the world. In fact, a serge of correction and re-establishment is required for Muslims to get out of the shades of Radicalism and Terrorism in the minds of others.
On the other hand, more steps should be taken to create the right atmosphere for a dialogue that leads ton understanding Islam, Muslims and Arab mentalities and way of life as well. As though many links are attached between the eastern and western cultures; still clouds of misunderstanding and lack of open-mindedness is strongly present and seem to have a hold on the dialogues taking place.

Arabs and Muslims have been for long taught to be so sensitive towards any “criticism”. The matter that prevented any revision, and created a sense of dogmatism among them.

I believe that it’s a great chance the ones young people now are given here to learn from to past mistakes. Ones they didn’t have a hand in committing them. Rather than strongly take hold of them. For that seems not to be any help for the change to reach their homes.

Rachel Corrie. Never forgotten.

When it's time for them to rest; some people really die. It tells us then that the time they were destined to live on earth has expired.

And we believe that those who die may live an eternal life where they go. Their earthly life ends up as soon as we breathe our last. But in fact, they commence to breath elsewhere.

Many of those people are forgotten after they no longer exist. Their friends and loved people still remember them and may mourn for them anytime they have their memories back in their minds. But, most of them soon stop having them in the back of their memories.
There must be something to remind them with. Then materialistic things start to be what brings them back in their heads. Photos. Videos and events carry them back and make them remembered. They are their not because they "are". But because they "were". And not because they are in minds, but because they are in photographs and vidoes.

The “lucky" ones are remembered and are written about in our historical books.
Some are Heroes. Others are criminals. Some great people and some even gods...

Still they are “Dead". And many of them are eternally –now- living"
***************

There are people who never die, though they never exist among us. The fact is that they now have gone deeper to live beneath us. For the kind of life they are destined to live is just the eternal life even as they still lived on the earth.

We lose. In fact we fail to recognize them when they are still alive and "among" us. And we may not want them among us anymore. So we have invented weapons to threaten them, armies to fight them and bulldozers to crash them to death when we couldn't shut them up.

Many of those people are full of love and never forsaken us. Because they know what they came to earth for is what exactly we need. And that what they are spreading is what we lacked when we didn't recognize them.

They know very well that peace hasn’t yet found the right way to our hearts.

We could make them get out of our sights. But they came and sculptured their existence on our hearts and souls too. And still our sight couldn't even control itself when they decide to come in a sudden. They are beneath us now. Making us feel ashamed of ourselves, and asking us to repent for our good and the good of the living souls.

****************

Rachel Corrie (April 10, 1979–March 16, 2003) was a member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) who traveled as an activist to the Gaza Strip during the Al-Aqsa Intifada. She was killed when she tried to obstruct an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Caterpillar D9 bulldozer operating in a Palestinian residential area of Rafah, next to the border with Egypt - an area the IDF had designated a security zone and which contains a network of smuggling tunnels connecting Egypt to the Palestinian side of Rafah.

*********************

Anyone of us who has human blood in his heart will feel responsible to honor Rachel's soul.
The question is: what can we do?

Rachel was full of passion and faith for peace and social justice. And for this that she headed for Gaza. For this that she stood in the way of her killer not willing to allow more destruction to happen. For this she wanted to live longer. For this they wanted her dead. And for this she lives now eternally in our hears, souls and minds.

Now Rachel is expecting us to continue what she had began; after she had printed her way deep in our souls that we never get led astray.

The call is for us, and the turn now is ours to carry the real "Road Map for Peace" and follow Rachel’s traces.

God Bless you all.
